Therapy with me

Counselling starts with you.

My way of working:

Plants can grow from the smallest seeds and find ways to persist even in the harshest circumstances. When they have their needs met they thrive. Much like us they are shaped by their environment. Chosing to thrive is chosing to take control of your growth, to meet your own needs and to grow in the unique way you need.

I work one to one using a pluralistic, integrative model of counselling. I believe that therapy should be collaborative and that in our time together we are travelling companions, sharing your knowledge of yourself and my knowledge of counselling. Counselling is a space that can be used to simply just talk something through or for much deeper self development and movement towards personal aims.

My approach integrates counselling theory with neuroscience, philosophy and a holistic attitude. Holding a curious and open perspective to life and its challenges can help us to think more deeply and find creative ways to approach them. I have a deep interest in what makes us who we are and in helping you to gain that understanding. By having someone witness you and validate you, you can start to bring awareness to what is happening and has happened in your life. Working together we can find ways  for you to grow and move forward.

What I provide counselling for:

I offer counselling to individuals who would like support for many different reasons some of which might be; anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, trauma and childhood trauma.

I am a neuroaffirming practitioner with professional and lived experience. I have specific skill and knowledge for working with people with neurodiversity. I am able to offer practical mentoring alongside counselling in this area. If you have a diagnosis or are considering getting a diagnosis I can support you.

If the reason you are seeking counselling isn't listed here please get in touch to see if I can meet your needs.
